God We Trust is a gentle poke-in-the-ribs
of the medical profession. It is amazing and amusing how total
our faith is in the medical wizards of our day, who are not always
deserving of that faith. The fact that some in the profession
seem to regard themselves as gods only underscores the irony.
The piece, with its functional bedpan fountain, priestly robes
and cross-finger surgical gloves, asks the viewer to consider:
from where does the healing come?
